Welcome to the official web page of the Canadian Wado Ryu Karate Federation. The C.W.K.F. is the only recognized Wado-Ryu organization in Canada affiliated with Wado-Ryu Renmei of Japan and Wado-Academy of England. Wado Ryu Karate is one of the four major styles of Japanese Karate. The techniques used are integrated with Yoshin Ryu Jujitsu and Karate to form a complete martial art. Wado means the way of peace and harmony. We strive to attain a deep harmony and peace in mind and body. The program prides itself on providing the highest standard of martial arts, self defense, fitness, competition results and overall enjoyment.

Sensei Alex Waith, is the Chief Instructor of the Canadian Wado-Ryu Karate Federation and the main instructor for the adult karate program. The C.W.K.F. is a growing organization that has sought to maintain the highest standard of teaching and excellence. Regular classes take place at the Honbu Headquarters Dojo in Scarborough three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. As well as at the North York Dojo two times a week on Mondays, and Wednesdays for both adult, families, and children.
During this COVID pandemic the CWKF has maintained a high level of regular practice virtually, in parks, and most recently, a return to in dojo training. As well, a successful kyu grading was conducted.
